Keith Memory Blog
The website has over 300 memories of the old school. It is a local project which recorded the experiences of the children and staff of Keith Primary School in the last few months of their time in their old school building built in 1864. The local community also added their memories of being at the school. The new school opened in February 2012 but the site is still accepting memories if anyone reading this was a pupil at the Junior and / or the Senior Primary Schools.
Moray Firth Gansey Project
This exciting three year project, drawn up by the Moray Firth Partnership, focuses on the tradition of hand knitted ganseys in the Moray Firth’s fishing communities as a way of preserving this important part of our culture and introducing the craft – and the area’s wider fishing heritage – to new audiences.
How you can help:
- Put us in touch with people who knitted or wore ganseys
- Let us see your old ganseys or photos of ganseys
- Knit pattern samples
- Volunteer to help with school and community knitting groups

Aberlour Orphanage Old Boys and Girls Memories Page (Aberlour Trust Website)
There are many former residents who are very proud to be a part of Aberlour’s history, and it has had a profound effect on their lives, and indeed ours.
They want to celebrate the rich and varied experiences of these people, and give an insight into how life at Aberlour was. That’s what this section of the site is about.
