MouseHole Cat Language Work

“The Mousehole Cat is a children’s book written by Antonia Barber and illustrated by Nicola Bayley. Based on the legend of Cornish fisherman Tom Bawcock and the stargazy pie,[1] it tells the tale of a cat who goes with its owner on a fishing expedition in rough seas.”  source

The children wrote their own version of the story and made it into a little book. Here is an example of one book by Kimberley.

Here is the collection of Mousehole Cat Stories which the class rewrote and made into a series of little books.

“The Mousehole Cat is a story about a little village in England and a cat house owner is perfect and the storm came up and the people couldn’t fish but the cat owner could.”   Kirstin  P5/6 Mouse Hole Story
