Learning to repair nets and splice rope (videos)

Local Retired Fishermen, Mr Gilbert Farquhar and Mr Mike Ralph kindly came into school to teach the children how to repair fishing nets and splice ropes as a way of joining them or making a loop.The children then had an opportunity to have a go themselves. They were very successful. See their net mending photos below.
