Harbour visit to fisherman’s bothy

On Friday 4th October the P5/6 class visited the Harbour bothy/meeting place and the group of fisherman which gather there each day at about 10 o’clock. The children met with the fishermen in the harbour office as the meeting room was too small for the class to fit in. They were able to ask questions, some based on the Buckie Fishing box of artefacts, which the class are using for their topic.

When we finished we got a picture taken and Dylan and one of the fisherman got our picture taken separately. I got to go in the newspapers. I learnt they did use the darning mushroom”  Diamond P5/6
