The Curriculum for Excellence Social Studies Experiences and outcomes relate to the Memory Project work

Main Learning Experiences and Outcomes

Record people and events from a particular time in the past looking at why that is important and placing them within a historical sequence.

Broaden understanding of the world by learning about human activities and achievements in the past and present

Learn how to locate, explore and link periods, people, events in time and place

Develop the learner’s understanding of the history, heritage and culture of where they live and appreciate of my local and national heritage within the world

Success criteria
The learner can record an event and place it in its historical context.

The learner can use differing sources of evidence to research a particular event and place.

The learner can use their acquired knowledge of an event and their local area link periods, people and events in time and place.
