Edith Powley’s first job for the Crown Agents in London

Edith Powley’s first job was in the Civil Service in London in 1956 at the age of 16. She had to pass her Civil Service exam first. She worked for the Crown Agents. She dealt with overseas territories on the shipping side. Edith’s next job was in Avon.
