Loch Broom bakery in Inverness by Christina Hogg

She started working for the bakery in 1945 when she saw the job advertised in the paper. She was 15 years old. The bakery was in Inverness and sold a variety of baked goods. She had to pack cakes into boxes. There were cream cakes made with artificial cream and fairy cakes. Shops brought in orders for cakes. She moved to Leicester and worked in a stocking factory there from the age of 19-21 yrs. Then she joined the RAF and worked on safety equipment such as packing a parachute. She came out of the service when she got married.
