Christie Addison’s work at Slater’s shoe shop in Portknockie

Chrisie Addison was born in 1926. She used to live in Portknockie. She started work in a shoe shop in Portknockie when she was fourteen in 1940. After she left the shoe shop she worked as a bus conductor and she got good pay. One of the responsibilities was to look after the elderly on the bus. She got three months holiday a year.
